HNL Terminal Modernization Program

An elegantly timeless Master Plan that is being implemented with pride and success at HNL.

As part of the larger statewide Hawaii Airports Modernization Program, the new facilities at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport consist of s a multi-phase plan that includes new  concourses, aircraft parking, automated people mover, maintenance hangar, cargo building and infrastructure improvement. KYA assisted in conceptual programming and planning effort of the Master Plan project that included 1.5 million square feet, and 68 gates.

The detailed design of the new Mauka Concourse was a part of the overall Master Architect Airport Modernization plan. The plan captured the essence of the Aloha spirit with sense of place design elements seamlessly integrating concourse and terminal to create a cohesive, clean, timeless design for the future.
