A long-awaited renovation to modernize and provide quality dental care services for the community.

KYA worked closely with The Queen’s Dental Clinic staff to fulfill a long-standing vision to modernize their facilities and support their dental residency program. As a full-service dental institution that provides quality dental care to patients, outpatients, and the staff of the Queen’s Medical Center, it was important to create an inviting presence and improve the patient care experience.



The Queen’s Dental Clinic was redesigned to include a new dental laboratory, pressurized operatories that serve as procedure rooms, and state of the art dental imaging equipment. The design of the new waiting area provides clarity and identity to the entrance of the Dental Clinic. New infrastructure was provided throughout and requirements for certification by The Joint Commission incorporated.

The interior design promotes a calm, peaceful environment, with windows in the treatment areas which provide daylight and outside views. A healing environment is enhanced by a neutral palette and organic patterns inspired by the surrounding Hawaiian landscape.
